Ten Years On

A whole decade without Chaiselongue’s daily company here on blip. Her blip total tally seemed so large then (over 1500) but, now, so small when compared with that of many of her most loyal followers. But for sure, she would have been amongst us old timers if she had not been taken away so suddenly and prematurely.

‘La Force’, Lojardiniere memorably called her at her funeral and all the constituent parts of that force would have made her a continuing influential presence here, educating us all and sharing her particular aesthetic, whether in image or word, as she had already consistently done.

We continue to be grateful for what she brought to so many in her life, grateful that Lojardiniere remains close and grateful, still, to see the world through the Chaiselongue lens.

Here, today, Estrella beer glasses in Barcelona where we were last together. Estrella was Chaislongue’s favourite Spanish beer. Salud!
