... it's been a day of on and off rain. I noticed a bird on a wire and decided that it would have to do as an emergency blip, since I've been inside most of the day.  I opened a side window to 90 degrees so I could point my camera up at the wire when I heard a thump.  Another bird flew into the open window pane, but thankfully not at full speed. It ended up on the grass by the hedge looking mildly stunned but otherwise unharmed.
After a few moments it took to the air again, leaving me with today's picture, under unusual circumstances.
