The harpsichord rework is done! Not a moment too soon; both Editor and I were tired of painting in all the nooks and crannies which were never meant to be painted. Having gone all-out on the tail section to serve as a little display case, we decided, after some careful measuring and calculating, to put the middle section, sitting atop the keyboard section, in the passageway, and use it for much-needed storage space. Here is a recap to when the whole instrument was delivered to our dining table back in December. Editor's brilliant touch was to take two of the iron strap hinges which originally attached lid to case, and use them to secure top to bottom. In case you're wondering: the top section screws to a cleat which is in turn attached to the wall. No loud crashes in the middle of the night...
