Our ‘Enry

Liberty department store, my favourite shop in the world, was actually, despite its look, only built in 1924 so has a centenary approaching.  Because it was made with old materials, ships’ timbers etc it feels much older, inside and out.  The stained glass throughout the building is apparently mainly Tudor and has been recently restored.  This fine featured chap, who overlooks Liberty’s hairdressing salon where I was this evening, is apparently Henry Tudor or ‘the father of Henry VIII’ as my hairdresser Ocean (I kid you not) told me.  

Trains mucking about - Aslef work to rule I think - meant I spent a lot of time on trains today as they were only running the stopping one. I never the less went up to London as I had an important meeting in the morning.
