Reclaiming the streets

The smallest member of the family enjoying a rare opportunity to scoot down the middle of the road. Normally this sort of thing is actively discouraged, but the school had organised an hour long road closure to mark Walk to School Week and highlight their concerns about people parking illegally around the zebra crossing. I'm not sure that many of the kids had any idea what it was in aid of but then that didn't stop them making the most of the brief expansion of territory..
