Time has shown the way

What a day we have had

Up and in the dining room by 9…. Not bad considering the late night and the sore legs

We jumped the tram into town and got
Off in a square off the cathedral of which there appear to be 17 (which may account for the random dropping us off last nigh)

The trip on the tram exhausted us so we stopped for iced coffees and chocolate. Nom

Then we seen four brides and grooms coming from the registry office. They het thru them fast here … and all of them looked to be in their forties

We booked tickets for a boat tour for the evening and then we ran and caught the hop on hop off bus.

An hour and a half later we were medium rare. Thank gawd we stopped for water.

It’s 34 degrees here - I wasn’t expecting that. I was thinking more Scotland temperature. How wrong was I

We padded round to a lovely bier haus and had schnitzel and cabbage salads and bretzels mit kas. Thank gawd for Duo lingo. And also thank gawd for bi lingual kellnerin.

We drank and ate for two hours and then we toddled round to the boat. We sailed up and down the Main ? Had you ever heard of that? Certainly wasn’t one I heard in Geography

Boat trip was very lovely. Boys had more beer. Jess had ice cream and I had a blue and red slushy.

We were now well done. Despite the factor fifty.

We got off the boat and I had to have a seat on the pavement for a moment before they dragged me off somewhere else

This time it was Brewdog. You know how much my gang love Brewdog. We found it and I only needed one break on the way there

It was just like being at home except that the passing hoomans were very Eclectic and definitely not British

I had a gin while the boys tried to drink the beer menu. Jess was also on gin and tooli went between strawberry sprizt and espresso martini

We ate loaded fries, sweet potato fries. Sweet corn, avocado and cauliflower wings.

I ordered a strawberry Sundae. (I was expecting a milk shake). The guy brought it over and said ‘there ya go mate. We did have them ‘. Scottish as anything

‘f*^k aye. He said. Funny the things you see when you are abroad

I had another conversation with a lady from South Africa who was in with her son who lives there … we compared notes on having children with wanderlust ‘Find nice cities to meet them in’ she said

We’ve already decided on Barcelona
