The Golfball rides again.

As seen frequently, in the past, but never through my 500mm mirror Lens; seldom used = much to learn.  I know it's decidedly iffy if not tripod mounted, which I've been unable to do, for lo these many moons.

It tells me it's a TAMRON 500mm 1:8 = 1st unknown 1:8what?  There are other aspects requiring either a brain-pick OR finding an online "F M", in order that I can "R" it.
   Previous views have, almost always, been cropped to get this "near". This one in not cropped at all.
