Sunbathing
Off to Honley first thing to meet with John and Marina for breakfast. Pancakes with crispy bacon, maple syrup and blueberries proved a good combination, with two cups of coffee to contend with my sleep deficit, built up over the past week while MrM's been working at the bakery. (He's off for a few days now, thank goodness.)
Back home we discovered this little guy resting on a rock, while another frog was swimming around in the pond.
Late afternoon I accompanied MrM to Otley. It wasn't an easy drive there as a large chunk of the A1(M) was closed but, annoyingly, nothing to indicate that until we were almost upon it. Just time to work out an alternative route through the centre of Leeds. It was a beautiful afternoon, and once in Otley we enjoyed a walk by the river before the real purpose of the trip. MrM had found a guitar online that he liked the look of for playing gypsy jazz, and had arranged to meet the owner to try it before buying. Not surprisingly he bought it!
Home via a rural route before driving through Bradford, which wins the prize for the most idiot drivers. Never seen so many cars shooting through red lights at great speed...
