African Daisies
A busy day! No time to go to the early morning market. A young man came to look at my balcony and measure it for a different barrier. The first one was not at all cat-proof and several times, I had to save a curious kitten climbing up to the top to look at life below! This time, a structure with netting has been proposed. My daughter and her boyfriend came to give me support and help me make the right decision (mainly on the height)!
The old barrier has been removed, so no balcony time for the kitten until all has been set up. I can still eat and read out there by keeping the French windows closed!
I am a little sad that all my lovely window boxes of flowers (8 of them) will have to be removed from the balcony edge and put on the ground. I will no longer have flowers at eye-level. I also have nine pots of plants already on the ground, including an olive tree, Camellia, herbs and lots of flowers.
I often liked to take photos of flowers with the big tree in the background. This will not be possible afterwards. Today I can still do that with my African Daisies/Osteospermum. Compromise is the word of the day!
