The Old Cement Factory, Ratho Station
The trouble with having a blip account that features ephemeria is that you never know when the subject matter will disappear.
So with that in mind, I set forth with a bottle of Longrow Red in the direction of St Margaret's Hope with a small detour on the journey.
The Ciglettes weren't overly enamoured with the plan; they wanted to climb Ben Klibreck instead but I took an executive decision (one that the shareholders fully endorsed*) to take another Cigsphoto before winding our way up the M90; stopping briefly at Aldi at Inveralmond where water was purchased.
Onwards to Ralia for a brief dog walk. We met another radge springer spaniel called Roxy and it's Rangers loving family. It was only as we passed Daviot, I realised they'd probably called the dog Ibrox but called her Roxy for short....
Invergordon came and went (Dalmore, anyone?) and a scoot about the Skelbo forest walk in the dappled shade. Whaligoe Steps were descended and then ascended.
Capaldi's ice cream in Golspie served up raspberry ripple, oat and honey and birthday cake cones. There's no prizes for guessing who had what.
A mini pitch invasion at Dudgeon Park was recorded by a passing drone and the lads got huckled out.
There was no such difficulty at Wick Academy; home of the most dramatic slope in Scottish senior football. It gives a whole new meaning to having a mountain to climb in the second half.
I'm disappointed to report Wick fish and chips are not what they once were. However, the Pentalina left early and the whisky survived the journey and is finally in the correct county, if not yet quite in the correct parish.
Finally, the Port Gower Cigs is still there.
The Out of Office is now on. If your message is important, please reach out to the Rebel Bear.
*It didn't take much bribery; just don't tell the FSC as it may be considered market interference
