Two Gardens

Today can truly be described as summer. Although the temperature was only around 21º, the clear sky with uninterrupted sunshine ensured it felt more.

To celebrate we went to visit the walled gardens at Drum and Crathes castles. On arriving at Drum we were surprised how few people were there. It was different at Crathes which was quite busy. A lot of people having picnics on the lawn. While we were at Drum we partook of an ice cream. My first since Lake Como. I am afraid it is a very sad imitation of the Italian version.

For Blip I concluded it was only fair today to have a collage. The top picture shows part of the garden at Drum, the lower shows a view of the garden at Crathes.
