The first courgette!

Always a momentous moment, harvesting the first courgette of the season, especially after such a slow start in the food factory this year. There was also a crookneck squash ready for eating so we had a vegetable and goat cheese tart for lunch. Food miles for the veg - about 25 steps. An evening dog walk up high to enjoy some cooler air, and then off to see friends who cooked a wonderful meal for us, and plied Koj with her favourite fruit and a bowl of gelato.
