Coreopsis verticillata

An all time favourite plant with spidery, dark green foliage. The delicate flowers look as if they are swirling around the plant like pretty butterflies.
Spent most of the day in the garden - weeding and hoeing on the far side. The main problem is nettle seedlings. Supported thalictrum flower spikes as they seem to have shot up and fallen over. More weeding in the afternoon and planted 6 hakonechloa grasses on the slope border. Fed roses and shrubs and watered some of the pots. The gardener turned up about 7.30 pm to weed kill the drive - his last job of the day. He works so hard.
