Suffragettes
Walked down the Sett Valley trail as far as the Torrs Riverside Park in New Mills. The park is in a deep gorge of the River Sett, landscaped & with footbridges, while the bridges for rail & road transport cross at a much higher level. It's difficult to photograph without some prior knowledge/planning, so we'll have to explore it properly on another trip. As it was, we were worried about the rain forecast for about lunchtime so hurried back, & luckily had almost reached the campsite by the time it started. The Blip is another example of the recent well dressing which we came across by the church in Hayfield.
C came over for the afternoon and we did a shortish low-level walk from the campsite, though with good views of the landscape leading towards the Kinder Ridge (see extra).
