What about maintenance?

The ground surrounding the Kincumber boardwalk is looking so lush and green, it’s hard to believe we are in the middle of winter. There are red berries on the vivid green ground cover and that climber is well on its way up to the light.
 
Sadly though I think they are both invasive weeds, introduced species that will overwhelm the native vegetation. The ground must have been cleared when the boardwalk was introduced. Perhaps, as often happens with such projects, no-one thought of including ongoing maintenance in the budget.
