Good news first thing; the houses that we protested about are not going ahead. I was able to pass on this information to Rowena whose home would be particularly affected. She almost cried.

Then we went out for a walk around Silbury Hill and the West Kennet Long Barrow. Here we met an Irish Wolfhound puppy called Marlow. He was an absolute gem of a dog!

I don't usually go into the barrow but did today to see a nest of swallows. Parents and chicks seemingly unperturbed by the presence of people.

The landscape was looking glorious as usual and Hetty enjoyed a paddle in a chalk stream.
