Goosander Family

On the River Kelvin again looking for kingfishers. The problem was that a week of rain meant that the water was high, fast and very muddy, so birds tend to find calmer backwaters when its like that. Stones that dippers and grey wagtails like to hunt from are submerged and kingfishers also depart until normality has returned. I saw the goosander and wasn't even going to photograph her until I realised that she had ducklings.
