Ellon Gala

My intention today was to go to Ellon Gala, I did not know what time it would start but I guessed most likely about 1 pm. Accordingly I arrived in Ellon shortly after expecting to find it was just starting. Whatever time it started it was certainly earlier than I expected and there was no possibility of finding anywhere to park. After about half an hour cruising around in search of somewhere to park I gave up.

I next moved on to Haddo House, a National Trust property, here it was very busy but they have a large car park. IThe house can be visited only by guided tour, but I have been there before and so I went for a walk in the extensive park. At one point I thought I had got a bit lost, but eventually found my way back to the cafe where I had an ice cream.

The photograph was taken just before I decided I did not quite know my way back to the house! The day had begun quite overcast but cleared up by the time I was lost in the wood.
