Sunday afternoon river walk

We took the dogs to the embankment in Bedford this afternoon for a walk. Pleasantly warm but not oppressive. Quite busy, but we parked away from the crowded embankment road and cut through from the other side.
Sat for a while on a bench with an ice cream and then walked back to the car round by the boathouse. A lovely couple of hours.

The heron was much admired whilst it was resting by the weir bridge - would you believe Vinnie barked at it! Fortunately it wasn’t all that bothered.

In extras - Bedford Suspension Bridge which I thought made for a good shot from this angle.
