Experimenting

I had a slight hiccup making a piece in the lathe this morning which meant a slight design change......... and an insert being put in the base. But all is fine.

I did a wee bit of playing about with the 500mm lens to make sure that the dioptre setting on the camera was correct ... since the lens is manual focus ( and 'infinity' on the barrel doesn't seem to match what I see through the viewfinder) and I am not convinced about my eyesight.
I think the focus is okay on the lily  (not sure about the shutter speed though) and the leaf is fine.
I can't remember what I pointe the camera at for this shot but I liked the 'doughnut' that the out of focus highlight gave.
