The tulip season is over .....

Or is it ? Do these dying tulips look any less alluring than the live flowers as seen on countless blips ? At the moment they look a bit incongruous as their stems still look green and full of life whilst the petals are dropping and curling and their former hues are fading fast. Given a couple more weeks or so they could be just as fascinating to photographers though, as their whole limp bodies reeking of dereliction and former glory are such a potent reminder of the beauty of nature at almost any stage of the process.
