Blue sky and wind mill - a Dutch landscape

After an emotional week we spent a day in the Netherlands. Last weekend my dad heard the news that he had to return to hospital as the operation to remove a skin cancer from his ear was not completely successful. After a lot of probing and scans over the last week, he finally had some good news that it hadn't spread to the lymph nodes or wider. He still needs to go back under the knife, but that should be the end of it.
I have never known my dad to be ill (except for the heavy colds in winter), but this year has seen him in hospital for a number of operations...

Although he still needs to go under the knife again, it feels like he will come out more or less the big (grand)dad he's always been to me and the girls...
