Tragopogon dubius?

This grows near roadsides all around New Mexico and probably outside of New Mexico, too. It has beautiful yellow flowers that disappear by early afternoon. A few days later these seed heads pop out. They are about 3 inches across.

Today, I give thanks for the day I was given, beautiful yellow flowers (there are 13 pages of yellow flowers in New Mexico alone, such amazing variety), brothers, uncles, and happy sons.
