Chair swap

We met our family for lunch today, our grandson George and his parents J and M. It was good to see them, especially young George.
We were on a chair swap mission! When George first moved into his flat with his partner V we gave them a rocking chair which they had always admired in our home. V particularly enjoyed it, and used it to such an extent that it was damaging the flat’s wooden floor.! V is no longer on the scene so it was decided that the rocking chair would be swapped for another favourite chair of ours. This is a smokers bow that N made on a furniture making course. We hope George will treasure it, knowing that it was made by his grandfather.
We met in a pub for lunch before going to George’s home for the chair swap. The photo was taken from a little bridge over the stream outside the pub.
