Flight Damage

If there's one thing that's important to the life of a bee, it's the wings. Without them flight is impossible (you would think). However this bee is managing just fine with his greatly reduced power source. To my eye, he is down to 50% capacity and yet he still manages to zoom around at full speed, doing what bees do best. 

It was our day to leave the campsite and drive home today. I loved this site. The wildlife around the lakes (including this bee) was simply wonderful. We are already looking forwards to our next trip.
