Farewell Glyn
Today the flying club said farewell to our dear friend Glyn. 80 years six months of a life well lived. Up until two weeks before he passed away he was still flying vintage aircraft and driving his 1940s classic Rover car.
After the service we celebrated Glyn’s life with tea and cake accompanied by a jazz band. Vintage aircraft flew in by friends including his favourite Tiger Moth ‘SKP’, The Nord and his Turbulent.
In the evening we had a hog roast and shared memories over a few drinks up until way after sunset. More water than beer was consumed as it was such a hot, humid day. Glyn would have loved the party.
I’ll always remember his cheeky smile happy in the air. Thank you Glyn for everything you taught me…. “Two elephants high and it’s time to flare” has got to be the best! Blue skies my lovely friend.
