Guernsey Hosts the Island Games 2023

I went with my brother to watch the track races this morning and this evening Colin and I went to watch the Javelin, Hurdles and various running races. The stadium was packed and it was a great evening. Guernsey is leading the Gold medals table and also the Silver and Bronze. 2,184 competitors from many different islands bought a container of water from their island and at the opening ceremony poured it into the base of the water wheel in the centre of the collage! What a fantastic idea. Looking forward to more events this week!
