A gentler day today.   Restorative overnight sleep, slow start.   Admin morning, putting together a letter furthering an appeal about one element of the adaptations proposed at Ruth's flat.   A walk for Meg before lunch for a change.  Some time with Jamie this afternoon and tea at his too.

We relaunched the singing group again tonight.   Fingers crossed, this time I think we might be on a winner.   A young, talented lad to direct us plus support from another young and equally talented singer, music teacher.  Tonight we also had the best known local music teacher along to give everyone some support and the evening saw joyous music made.   Solid plans for the future which everyone present happily signed up to, a wider repertoire than  just sea shanties but the emphasis remains on it being for fun, a social singing group not a choir.   Sadly we've lost a couple of rather colourful characters but in one case it had to happen if we were to keep going.   A better balanced group now and a brighter future.
