Evening Reflections

"Before the Earth steals the Sun from the sky."

That is a line that I remember from a song that I recall from my youth.
It was by a folk group called 'Gaberlunzie' .  I think they were Glasgow policemen.
And if my memory serves me right, the song was called 'Burleigh Sands'.

Now the sun it will rest
And the shadows grow long as it dies
And Loch Leven will darken
From east to the west
As the earth steals the sun from the sky.
