Good neigh-bours
The perfect end to an amazing weekend!
After feeding the masses last night, I headed back to the airfield for 8 again this morning to do breakfast and lunch again, only to discover, my friend Ali had everything under control. She had prepared a dozen sandwiches, cooked bacon and sausages etc.
Once the initial rush had died down and all the pilots made their way to their gliders. I headed to the launch point with L in tandem on our bike.
The launch point was very busy, with pilots keen to get going on today's tasks. After a hectic start on the log, things soon calmed down.
After lunch I discovered the car had a flat tyre! Aaaarrr! But with an airfield full of glider pilots and crew, i soon found a wiling helper to change my tyre so I could get it fixed. I wont say how much it cost but it was a lot!!!
Once gliding had finished L and i cycled back to the clubhouse with my friends dog in tow (who would only go one way from the launch point as that's the way his owners had gone!!!)
As we left the airfield I realized I hadn't taken any pictures so stopped at a field to take in the scenery. These 2 friendly fellows started to make their way over to me and I'm glad I waited. They were both very friendly and keen for a nose rub.
