Leek flower head
Every year we set aside a half dozen leek plants, and plant out either side of my walkway. Wildflower garden one side and bordered lawn the other. Watching them rise and swell is a thing. Seeing them burst through and out into daylight is another.
An Allium it is, its flower head is both striking and serves well as a magnet for all insects on the wing. From butterfly to wasp.
