Between showers

We both went up to the allotment but D stayed longer than me as my toe started hurting. We both got caught in one of the regular heavy showers we've been having recently. There were lots of butterflies around, small tortoiseshells, speckled woods and meadow browns, but all far too flighty for a blip.

And the first grasshoppers I've seen this year were leaping about in the sunshine.
