Decline

Once a thriving, proud, mining town.
I understand that coal would have had to be phased out at some point for environmental reasons, but the way the industry was closed so quickly & brutally tore the heart out of many northern communities. A blow that many never really recovered from.
I still can’t think of that hair sprayed nasty old tart without getting angry.
