Day 5

Arrival in Norway. The Colour Fantasy docked in Oslo at 12.00, it was a beautiful run up the Oslo Fjord, lots to see, after a huge and delicious buffet breakfast. We left Oslo headings west, the fist stop was Heddal Stave church from the 12th century. The only remaining one with 3 towers. A wedding was going on when we arrived, no problem, first stop was the cafe. What a treat, freshly made waffles with strawberry jam and sour cream.
After the wedding party came out, there was a guided tour, very interesting. We drove another couple of hours to Rjukan, a town developed around hydropower and chemical production in the early 20 century.
A fab campsite lots of space. After getting the tent up, we cycled into town to have a look around and get shopping.
We waved at another cyclist, who also stayed at the campsite, Brian from N Wales, we had a really good laugh with him and a few drinks after dinner. Dinner was an excellent mushroom risotto made mainly by Mr S.
