Site visits

I was out and about today with a volley on site visits in the Scottish Borders. This is Hermitage Castle which was not the subject of the visit but served as a dramatic viewpoint for the sites we were visiting. In the end it was a mixed bag - a medieval deer dyke (that wasn’t), a prehistoric standing stone and an Iron Age settlement. It was also intermittently wet. I don’t suppose you can have everything!
