A day on the ocean wave
I had my first outing of the summer in our boat when N arranged to take our friends D and L out for the day. We crossed the Sound of Mull to Loch na Droma Buidhe, a small sea loch just off the mouth of Loch Sunart, where we spent a very peaceful hour watching seals while they watched us having our lunch. We then ventured into Loch Sunart before re-crossing the Sound to do a spot of fishing. Once a mackerel supper was caught for L and D, we were packing up ready to head home when a couple of porpoises surfaced very close to the boat. They played around us for a couple of minutes, probably feeding on the shoal of mackerel that we had fished from. It was delightful to watch them. A perfect end to a most enjoyable day.
