Geysers and hot springs
Setting off painfully early after a 5am breakfast we arrived at a stunning geyser field at dawn. It was incredible walking around with all of the steam billowing out of the ground and hearing the mud bubble underneath our feet. We then went for an early morning dip in the idyllic hot springs, just on the edge of a beautiful lake, at a casual 4,800 meters. Getting in and our however was less than pleasant! Feeling warm and steamed we drove to see the green lake, which unfortunately isn't ever green at the time of day that the tour goes past! It still had a perfect reflection of another half Bolivian/half Chilean mountain! Back through 'Salvador Dali' desert and another smaller salt flat we wound our way back to Uyuni. We pasted Ostriches and llamas, but unfortunately didn't see any Puma's where our guide said they lived !
Definitely a favourite weekend away, not to be ruined either by our bus company reselling our seats, eventually getting us on a bus to La Paz - which then went offroad with no suspension on the way home. Our bones were rattled!
