D-Day Minus 1 - Tmorrow the fitness regime begins
Well at the age of 47 I have decided that fat is no longer an option.
I suppose I am very lucky that it isn't down to medical issues that I have decided to lose wait, get fit, tone up and change my health and happiness, it's just down to being fed up of looking in that bloody mirror everyday and seeing a shadow (well, two shadows as I appear now!), of my former self.
I used to be very fit, agile and enjoyed everything about sports, but a mountain bike accident in 2002 meant a 3-year recovery and since then, the weight I put on, I have just never shifted.
I have no justification, I just think that the recovery time and then a few-years later a collapsed disk in my back, has led to a general apathy, which I now look on as being really pretty much a sad state of affairs.
I don't drink, don't smoke and my blood pressure (I am informed by the doctor) is about as perfect as anyone could hope for! Blimey! Looks like my earlier lifestyle has given me a fighting chance then!
I decided to set up this Blipfoto page so I can detail and record my progress as I work to improve the shape of my body internally as well as externally and maybe those who follow me will be there to encourage me as I set about changing my life forever!
My profile picture shows me as I am today.....a blob! Totally unattractive and really in need of some maintenance!
So I will be dragging my mountain bike out of retirement, I have signed up to a local Gym and my diet is set to improve as I move away from the 'snacks' I so easily succumb to.
Now is the time for me to make a change in my life and I hope if you do follow me on this 'epic' weight loss/toning regime, you'll forgive me if I miss a couple of days posting here?
