True blue
Shev, Ker and I had an early start as we were going to Gardening Scotland at Ingliston Showground. We met at the park n ride so we could be condensed and all arrive in the one car as the parking there was a fiver.
In fact we arrived before the gates opened (unheard of for us) so had to wait in the queue.
It was rather chilly, The sun did come in and out but when it was in (more ofter than out) it was really quite chiily.
Everybody had the foldaway trolleys which we thought were a bit excessive but a couple of hours later we were wishing we had brought something similar as there were so many plant stalls and beautiful specimins to buy but the thought of carrying them was rather daunting.
In the end I bought a couple of plants. This one which I have forgotten the name of and can't be bothered going to read the label and a big tall blue poppy plant (I think I must be going through my blue period at the moment like Picasso did)
Inside the actual hall there were stalls selling more plants, jewellery and clothes and loads of scrummy tempting foodstuffs all of which we managed to refrain from (it was tough going). By the time we came out again it was glorious sunshine - hoorah!!!
After deliberating for ages about where to go to have some lunch we ended up at the Bridge Inn at Ratho, somewhere i've never eaten before, where we had a lovely meal.
Home to my house for a few hours for a blether, a halfhearted attempt at doing a workout dvd and some more food.
All in all an extremely busy weekend filled with nice people, nice walks and nice food.
Need to go back to work for a rest in the morning (and that's with the auditors coming) !!
