Falkland

A change of venue today. We decided to have a short mini break in Glenrothes. Our hotel will serve as a hub to visit some places in the area over the next couple of days.

Today we went to Falkland, a town I have never been to previously. A very picturesque town. This was when we first arrived, the sky cleared later. We were here to visit the castle and gardens (extra).

The sky cleared over the course of the afternoon and the weather became sunny and warm. We watched the Real Tennis for a few minutes. The court is the oldest in Scotland.

Late afternoon we headed over to our hotel. After we checked in we enjoyed a couple of drinks on the terrace in the sunshine before dinner. The terrace was busy with visitors, not all staying in the hotel.
