Luncheon

Fiona, Ali and I met up with my best man and his wife at The Shack at Tynemouth. It has a deservedly good reputation for sea food but none of us had eaten there before so we were really looking forward to it. 
This photo is of the Shack, down by the beach on King Edward’s Bay. On the headland are the remains of Tynemouth Priory and Castle.
I’ve known Chris since we were eleven and have been best friends since, well over 55 years and counting. We are never short of things to talk about. 
Afterwards we had a stroll towards Long Sands beach with a view in the distance of the iconic St George’s church, Cullercoats - see extra.
I’ve also included a shot of the menu which they encourage customers to photograph to save having printed menus. 
Amazingly for the north east coast it was lovely and warm today and not too windy.
