Scattery Island

A very well informed guide gave us the tour of Scattery Island.  A little more time to do some of our own exploring might have been nice.  However, some part of the island was closed due to some nesting sites for Hen Harriers.  We saw a pair in flight.  We also saw some kestrel chicks in a nest in the cathedral ruins.  
The sea lock was exciting too. 
We saw the large Holy Well and yes freespiral I did give your book a mention! St Senan was the local Saint here.
