A New Day Dawns

Today is Matariki, which is a public holiday in New Zealand to celebrate the Maori New Year.  I went out to photograph the sunrise at Bremner Bay.  As you can see the lake is quite low.

My daughter and I have spent the afternoon watching a DVD :  Military Wives.  The choir at the end of the movie sung beautifully.

I see there is a small fire down by the lake at the Dinosaur Park.  I hope the planned events will go well.  The weather is cloudy and warm for this time of year, +13C.
