Squirted

It's a long-standing tradition in Edinburgh that each year the taxi trade arranges an outing for disabled kids. A load of taxi drivers festoon their cabs with balloons and other decorations and take the kids down to Yellowcraigs for a day on the beach. It's all in a good cause and all good fun, with the taxis parading along, tooting their horns, playing music and so on...

"Wait a minute sleepyduck!" I hear you say "You are talking about taxis but you have published a picture of an Army vehicle..."

Well spotted! The taxis are also joined by the police, the fire brigade, the army and so on. (So yes, if you wanted to steal stuff, set a fire or invade Edinburgh, today would have been a good day to do it as all the people who are supposed to deal with that kind of stuff were at the beach. On the other hand, if you wanted to get from your hotel to the railway station, you would have been in for a walk.) I got a few lousy shots of the taxis, but the best of the day was this one. The chap at the back was enthusiastically squirting everyone with his water gun. His aim was very good, which is reassuring to note of an army fellow. I'm pleased to report that the LX3 seems to be water-resistant.

One of the taxis was also blipped by Pingirl today.

Incidentally, for those of you who were wondering about the object carried by Beardy yesterday, it's a walking stick. He doesn't seem to have any mobility problems, so I assume it's an affectation. Or a weapon. Tipped with ricin.
