The lighthouse at Neil's Harbour

With such a rocky coast line and the importance of fishing to the area there are quite a lot of lighthouses doted about.   This one was built in 1899 and is a square wooden structure.  It is 10.4 metres tall and was built to guide the fishing boats in to the small harbour here.

We found the sun yesterday- on the other side of the hill.   Bright blue skies and yellow orb up there - still could hardly see our hand in front of our face on the east coast, apparently quite a common occurrence.
