Echinops

Back to the garden today after yesterday’s coastal views - and thank you so much for your wonderful response to my Llandudno pier blip. 

It makes a welcome change to focus on the organic form of plants and leaves rather than my dwindling range of insects, and in the end it’s the globe thistle or Echinops that takes my fancy. New to our border this year, they’re just emerging, their grey-blue spikiness a gentle hint of colour yet to come.
