Grandma's Bonnet
Sunday's seem to be developing a bit of a high-key kind of theme to them. Today has been a wonderful sunny day - like a real June day should be. We had another visit from the delightful duo today, so much messing about in the garden ensued. Whilst the infant afternoon nap was being enjoyed by all I decided to see about the photographic potential of this clump of Grandma's Bonnets at the bottom of the garden. Imagine how many years must have passed since these things resembled any kind of headgear worn by Grannies. I spent a good hour contorting myself on the pebble path, taking dozens of photos, getting roasted by the sun. The trouble is I just get straight into taking photos without going to the trouble of trying to protect the delicate flowers from every puff of wind that blows. So I spend a lot of time waiting for the wind to settle and the flowers to be still. I get completely lost in taking photos however, and the time just passes in a haze. An hour well spent in my opinion.
