Bindweed

It seems bindweeds are not the same as convolvulus, which I always thought this was. No, it's Calystegia sepium. It looks harmless enough here but they say it's hard to get rid of.


We had a slow start on our visit to Edinburgh but we had time for a walk along the Water of Leith before we picked Kat up at the Visitor's Centre after work.


I had expected a blip of something exciting, an otter, a kingfisher, deer but, oh dear, not even a mallard or a heron! Plenty of bindweed though, spreading through from the allotments.
