Penetratingly wet outside but inside I am fine at one moment and then shivering and achy the next - the result of having , it seems,contracted Lyme’s Disease from a tick at some stage during the hot weather.

I had it ten years ago but it - and the effect of the antibiotics - seem worse this time . Perhaps that is age .

However Breagha and Rula are keeping me company this afternoon which helps.

None the less I suspect one of them or one of the cats passed the particular infected tick onto me , though to be fair it would have been only one of many we have found all over the place this summer
