Ripe peaches
I went for a walk at Tyntesfield with M my Oxfam colleague. We very much enjoyed the rose garden, and various herbaceous borders, as well as the café. But the star was this espaliered peach tree against the south side of the walled garden. Each peach is bigger than a tennis ball - and looks perfect. Coincidentally, we bumped into the former manager of the Oxfam shop, who is now a gardener in the walled garden. I can’t think of a more wonderful job.
